Built in 1874 for the Mayor of Queenstown and listed with the New Zealand Historic Places Trust.

The Historic Stone House sits on an elevated platform, rendering it with both a large, flat garden and sweeping views down Lake Wakatipu to Walter Peak Station – you’ll see the iconic Earnslaw steaming its way to the station, framed by majestic mountains all around.

There’s privacy plus views (that best of both worlds factor again): barbeque and dine at the outdoor table, or just quietly enjoy the views. Old warm charm and traditional architecture blend effortlessly with contemporary comforts.

Accommodating up to 13 guests this well equipped and perfectly appointed central Queenstown home provides everything you need for your stay!

The price for this historic stay starts from $595 per night for up to 6 people in the main Daniels house. Additional guests are charged $50 per person for up to 13 people should you wish to book the entire property. For smaller groups please check the Alley Apartment listing as well as the Weir Apartment or speak to reservations who can assist you with your requirements.

The main house features 5 of the 6 king bedrooms including two ensuites, two shared bathrooms, as well as separate living areas should the children or teenagers want their own space after a long day up the mountains or just a quiet place to relax and read a book.
Interior, features a very large lounge, a large open fire with plenty of wood to add extra ambiance, flat screen TV, a small library of books and magazines, some games and CD player.

The kitchen and kitchenette include all the modern appliances you need, perfect if you choose to self-cater for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

The separate apartment to the rear of the property offers another touch of privacy with an additional king size bed, bathroom, kitchen, and living area.

Off street parking and unlimited WiFi are provided to add to your guest experience.
